Our Institution is running this (2007-2008) academic year onwards, but off course we are forming well Training and Placement/HR team for place our future students/engineers. In addition to the university framed studies students are exposed to the industrial and external environment by sponsoring them during their semester vacations. Training and placement department also plays a vital role in the career development of the students of Abdulkalam Institute of Technological Sciences by encouraging them to sponsor for programmes like industrial seminars, Entrepreneurship development programmes, organising seminars by corporate excutives, distinguished academicians, coaching them for GATE,GRE,GMAT,TOFEL etc.
Our Training and Placement divison will also engages campus placement interviews from various industries organisations for final year students of all branches of Engineering students.
To meet the growing demand of quality teachers Engineering colleges Training and Placement divison also identifies students who are interested in teaching career and forwarding them to early induction programme conducted by AICTE, New Delhi.
The Department receives guidence from the senior faculty members of the college and also advisors from external professional bodies and leading HRD consultants.

Campus: W e l c o m e !, Abdulkalam Institute of Technological Sciences (AKITS) has blossomed out as one of the well-equipped Engineering College at the starting stage itself. The laudable aim of this institution is to provide qualitative and fruitful engineering education to the students by offering modernised teaching and training, by undertaking valuable research programmes and by exchanging consultancy activities with outstanding organisations. It is also the noble objective of this institution to make the students realise and adopt in their life, the significance of discipline and the invaluable price of human virtues. In an attempt to implement the concept of our mission, we have chosen to establish an engineering college in Rural areas of Khammam District. The college is centrally located in the district in Kothagudem, reachable to all corners of the District and neighbouring Districts. We are planning to convert the college into a “Center for Excellence” by 2020. We aim at quality rather than quantity.
Central library: There is a Central Library with more than 21000 books at present meeting the requirements of all branches of Engineering. The Library is equipped with glass almirahs for the display of all textbooks subject-wise and discipline-wise. The library provides very comfortable seating place for the students and faculty to make self-study in a very calm and quite atmosphere. Both national and International journals were also procured for the updating of knowledge in different Engineering fields.
