Placements
Placements : Department of Placement and Training caters for enhancing not only the employability skills of the passing out Amalites but also the overall development of their personality. The dept. organizes on campus and off campus recruitments and preplacement training programmes in Aptitude test, Group Discussions, Interviews andpresentation skills in collaboration with the Dept. of Humanities and core departments. Mock interviews and GDs are conducted on a regular basis so as to equip final and pre-final students to face the challenges of the recruitment scenario. Close on the heels of placement drives, the Placement Assistance Cell makes an evaluation of the performance of our students. This objective appraisel enables us to identify strengths and weakness of the candidates and select the strategies for improvement. Besides, there are intensive supportive measures for the rejected candidates.
The placement cell is equipped with state-of- the- art facilities.
Several companies such as TCS, INTER GRAPH, SYNTEL, FOURSOFT LTD, GENPACT visited the campus and selected a good number of Amalites.

Central library: Library is the brain of any educational institution of higher learning. It is the hub around which all the academic activities of the institution revolve. The library of Prakasam Engineering College is computerized and is stocked with thousands of books authored by authorities on the subject. The intake of books is a regular feature in the library and no important title related to the courses of study is missed. In addition to the course books general books for personality development, general knowledge, handbooks, yearbooks, reference books etc. are also added to the collection s. The library subscribes to national and international subject journals, magazines of current interest along with national and regional dailies to keep the students abreast with the day to day happenings in the world and their fields of study. The duplex library is tastefully furnished and it can seat 200 students at a time in its spacious reading halls. The serene atmosphere in the library with rows of neatly stacked books plays a major role in attracting the students to the library for serious study and supplementing their class notes.
The library has a huge collection of volumes and subscribes to 50 periodicals. Apart from books it has a huge collection of Audio video material, CD’s & DVD’s. The library maintains a separate “Book Bank” collection exclusively for the meritorious students.
Hostel: Students come to PEC from every corner of the State. The Hostel at PEC provides such an ambience that the students feel they are at home. The rooms are well furnished, airy, with attached bathrooms, proper house keeping facilities, telephone facilities and are equipped with a number of other amenities as well. The hygiene and cleanliness factors are the basic ideas that are very well taken care of and best measures are taken to provide very healthy and homely atmosphere for the students choosing to avail this facility. Mess arrangements are made on co-operative basis along with hygienic and good food.
