Campus: Institute of Engineering & Technology, Alwar the First self-financed college of Rajasthan and promoted by the A.I.S.A.E.R. (All India Society for Advance Education & Research), New Delhi was established in the Year 1998 at Alwar. The Institute was given NOC and approval by the A.I.C.T.E. on 07 July, 1998. Institute obtained affiliation from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur on 04 August, 1998. The single institute venture over the years has grown up and become a Group of Academic Institutions that include 2 Engineering Institutes, a Pharmacy, Biotechnology & a Management College by now.
The Engineering colleges managed by this group are providing Technical Education in 7 Engineering Branches at Under Graduate Level and 5 Branches at Post Graduate Level, a rare combination present in education in private sector in whole of North India. The Biotechnology stream is available at UG and PG in Biotechnology Institute. Pharmacy college is catering to B. Pharma. Students and the Management studies are delivering quality education for various UG and PG management courses. The IET Group is managed by a group of visionary professionals lead by it’s Chairman, Dr. V. K. Agarwal (MBBS, MD, MBA) with a vision to fulfill a finest Educational Standards in Northern India particularly in Rajasthan. Dr. V. K. Agarwal as Chairman of the group is supported by Executive Director, Dr. Manju Agarwal (MBBS, MBA) and Director, Sh. Sanjay Prakash Garg (MBA).
The IET Group’s requirement to have highly capable & entrepreneurial professionals at the helm of the institute created a true success as a result of extra creativity, innovativeness and dynamism to take-up challenges. IET Group has the privilege of becoming The First Private Engineering College of Rajasthan Established in 1998 and also Certified by : ISO 9001-2000. The Institute was Accredited for two branches (Electronics & Communication and Computer Sc. Engineering) as per Letter Dated : 27 July, 2006 by NBA (National Board of Accreditation). The NBA team also accredited (Electrical Engineering, Electronic Instrumentation & Control Engineering & Information Technology) department as per Letter Dated : 19 July, 2008. Hence Accreditation status has been awarded to all the Engineering programs of this Institution.
Central library: The Hostels in our campus are designed to provide an ideal environment conducive for academic pursuit. IET Group has fully furnished in campus, well ventilated separate Boys & Girls Hostels. Hostels are the unique place for all round development.
The college has large number of students from out of alwar, other states who require a homely atmosphere congenial for studies. The hostels consists 06 Boys & 02 Girls Hostels with 1200 & 600 Students Capacity respectively. All the hostels are controlled by various level of matured ladies and gents wardens and mentors.
Rooms Setup : All the Hostel rooms are twin-sharing with each room has its own Bathroom. Every room is equipped with modern furniture like bed, almirah, study table, chair, book-shelf etc for each students. IET – Alwar has the Best Hostel facility in all Rajasthan.
Common Rooms : The budding nex-gen youth require some leisure and extra curricular activities to make their mind free and apt for further studies. Therefore each Hostel have separate Common Room with a TV and indoor games facilities for Table Tennis, Carom, Chess Board etc. with modern furniture. Mess : Health and Hygiene for students are the priority concerns. IET Management taken it as the most important aspect being the first available local guardian for all inhouse students. Separate fully automated mess for boys and girls with trained cooking staff and modern stainless steel kitchen equipments with comfortable furniture has been provided in each hostel for hygienic food (pure vegetarian).
Hostel: Totally Computerized & fully furnished library is functional in 10,943 Sq. ft. areas with seating capacity of 400+ Students. The IET Library System consists of a Central Library and it’s five Departmental Library which collectively supports the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking library membership. One of the richest Library in the state is having more than 45,000 Books with discipline’s Engineering, Management, Humanities of foreign, Indian writers, National / International Journals, Educational General CD’s.
IET College of Engineering Library a 21st century Knowledge Center and to facilitate the transition of today’s engineering society to a knowledge base society of tomorrow, the knowledge generated by the faculty and students of IET has been digitized and made accessible through Intranet or Internet. Along with the automation of library services The Institute has become a Member of University, IIT, MHRD & other major library Network through the Connectivity of DELNET Library facility. Further the Institute library has access to 47 IEEE Electronic Journals through Internet and approx. 1383 CD’s on various topics are available in the library for self-learning. The library is proud to be the first full bar coded library in private engineering colleges in Northern India. Dynamic and professionally qualified and trained Sh. Dausharan Sharma (M.A. , M. Lib.) controlled the library.

INTRODUCTION : SPIC-MACAY is the Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music & Culture amongst Youth. The purpose of this society is to bring the ancient out forms in music & dance on a platform to make our youth aware of the rich heritage of which they are part. A sub-chapter (one of seven subchapters) was at IET in year 2002 under SPIC-MACAY Alwar Chapter. At present Dr. Manju Agarwal, Executive Director of IET Group of Institutions holds the position of president of
SPIC-MACAY, Alwar Chapter.
