Road) 48 Km. from ISBT, New Delhi towards Chandigarh. The location of university falls within one of the fastest growing industrial belt of Haryana. This university aims to create new frontier of knowledge and produce excellent engineers who have learnt their skills in an environment of highly competent & skilled faculty– engineers who will known for their innovation, imagination, synthesizing & analytical competence, scientific intellect and who are committed to excellence.
Central library: The library located in Electrical Engineering Block, offers an excellent collection of textbooks (Science & Engg.),Conference Proceedings, Technical magazines and Journals .The library has Internet Access to provide search capabilities from the libraries of universities throughout the world .The students who would like to study themselves or in group will find that studying in the library is very convenient.The library through its collection and access to World wide Information Resources provides high quality services to students for fulfilling the university’s mission of being a center of excellence in Engineering and Technology. A store of good and latest information, library is the most important part of university. Facility of book bank is provided (especially to SC/ST students) by the library. The stock of books available in the library does take care of all the requirements of students and staff. Not only the books on technical and non-technical subjects are stocked in the library but also the books and literature on religion, aesthetics etc. are available in quite a good number.
The library has collection of about 34434 books of various fields, 15 leading newspapers and 43 magazines/technical journals and e-journals are the prominent feature of library. Library remains open from 9am to 5pm .The librarian work closely with teaching staff to ensure that the relevant books, journals & electronic resources are accessible. At present, it is undergoing the process of computerization and subscription of online journals. The library provides students the facilities of six library cards which includes two semester issue cards and three cards on which books can be issued for fourteen days. Besides this the reference books can be issued for one day.
Hostel: Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology provides excellent hostel facilities to the students. There are in total five hostels, one for girls having capacity of 450 girls and rest four for boys having capacity of 966 boys. All the hostels have their individual mess, club cum common room, guest room etc. One girls hostel of capacity 300 girls is under construction.
