J. Sagar Rao Garu who has vast experience in successfully running the Jyothishmathi Group of Institutions in Karimnagar. The Institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad.

Placements

Placements: Campus placements are taking place for B.Tech, MCA & MBA graduates every year in the college. The employment opportunities are provided to final year students of this college through a dedicated training and placement cell which is headed by very experienced senior professor of the college. The Training & Placement Cell conducts placement activities regularly by conducting training for the students in areas like verbal and nonverbal reasoning, Arithmetic reasoning, English Communication soft skills, Group discussions, Puzzles, Elocution competition, Presentation skills, Writing skills, Listening Skills etc. Large number of students from this college have been selected for different organizations like Infosys, Wipro Technologies, Satyam Computer Services, HCL, Microsoft India, Opine Soft, Synergy Netsoft, Assurgent, GGK Technologies, Chevron IT Solutions, Datapoint Solutions etc.

The college is Connected with a Jawahar Knowledge Centre ( JKC ) & Infosys Campus Connect to impart training and Placement for students. JKC is a program undertaken by Institute of Electronic Governance ( IEG ) and JNTU, Hyderabad to give training in IT skills and provide placements in reputed organizations and companies.

During the last 14 years, this Engineering College has made rapid progress and has developed into one of the very large and foremost Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh State, with an annual intake capacity of 870 students in the following programmes : Four B.Tech. programmes – Computer Science & Engineering(CSE) with an intake of 120, Information Technology(IT) with an intake of 120, Electronics & Communication Engineering(ECE) with an intake of 120, Electrical & Electronics Engineering(EEE) with an intake of 120 students, Seven Post-Graduate Programmes – MCA course with an intake of 60, MBA course with an intake of 60, M.Tech. (Computer Science & Engineering) course with an intake of 18, M.Tech. (Software Engineering) course with an intake of 18 M.Tech (Computer Networks and Information Secuirity) course with an intake of 18, M.Tech(Embedded System Design) course with an intake of 18, and M.Tech. (VLSI Design) course with an intake of 18 students. B. Tech. Programmes in CSE, ECE and EEE were started in 1997, later in 1999 B.Tech. in IT was added. Master Programmes – MCA and MBA were started in 2006, M.Tech. (CSE) was introduced in the year 2008 and M.Tech.(SE) & M.Tech.(VLSI Design) courses were introduced in the academic year 2009, M.Tech(Computer Networks and Information Secuirity), M.Tech(Embedded System Design) are introduced in the current academic year 2010, M.Tech (Computer Science)& M.Tech (Digital Systems and Computer Electronics) are introduced in the current academic year 2011 with an intake of 18 in each courses. In the academic year 2009-10 second shift polytechnic Diploma programmes Computer Engineering(CME) with an intake of 120, Electronics & Communication Engineering(ECE) with an intake of 60 and  Electrical & Electronics Engineering(EEE) with an intake of 60 were started in the college campus.

Central library: Department Of Library was established in 1997.The college library has at present a total collection of 36,883 volumes covering nearly 9974 titles and 2561 reference books. About 153 periodicals are subscribed for the library. There are 120 International Journals, 113 National Journals, 33 Magazines and are displayed according to each Branch. All the books are classified using D.D.C. (Dewey Decimal Classification) and C.C. (Colone Classification) as per Anglo-American cataloging rules.  Library Working Hours are on week days from 7.00 AM to 8.00PM. Only the member will be eligible to borrow books from the library . Each member can borrow 3 books at a time aganist borrowees cards.

Library Is Now Fully Automated with the data base of 36,883 books, and has started its automation activity in the year 2000 by fully automating all its house keeping operations. Network users can search the data base by, Author, Title, Classification numbers or subject terminals for the benifit of users in the library. Also four terminals are provided in the library to search for the availiablity of the books.

Hostel: The Institute has magnificently designed separate hostels for boys and girls each with all modern facilities, for boarding and other recreational activities. The hostels have their own mess to provide good and hygenic food to the students. Mess is maintained on co-operative basis. Both hostels have common Rooms, Gyms, Badminton Courts, Volleyball ground and facilities for other indoor games.

To develop a holistic and humanitarian attitude as members of the world community in this era of globalization and modernization by learning aspects of Indian as well as western cultures.

To assist the students to develop communication skills, organizational skills, tolerance to criticism, positive attitudes, leadership, capacity for mingling and getting-on with peers of different mentalities, etc.

To encourage the budding Professionals to exhibit their talents in Technical & Cultural activities like elocution, debate, essay writing, quiz, paper presentation, singing, acting, fine arts,etc.
