Placements

Placements: The Placement Cell plays a crucial role in scouting for and locating job opportunities for the young graduates and post graduates passing out from the college by keeping liaison with reputed firms and industrial establishments. It functions under the supervision of a full time placement officer. The placement cell operates year round, to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates. The number of students who are placed through the campus placements is continously rising. On invitation, many reputed industries visit the institute to conduct campus interviews.

CAREER GUIDANCE PROGRAMME
The placement cell along with Career Development Academy of KCT organizes career guidance programs for the final year students. The cell arranges training programs like facing the interview, group discussions etc. The cell also invites HR managers from different industries to conduct training programs for our final year students.

VOICE CLUB
Very Open Invitation for Cerebral Exchange (VOICE) club formed for the benefits of students of KCT to improve their technical, personal and mamagerial skills. The club is constituted by stydent members selected from a variety of disciplines. In this forum, hidden talents of students are unearthed and made available for the betterment and growth.

Under the able guidance and patronage of Arutselvar Dr. N. Mahalingam, Chairman, Sakthi Group and with the able administration of Dr.B.K.Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Co – Chairman and Sri. M.Balasubramaniam, Correspondent, the college has developed excellent facilities and resources such as spacious classrooms, seminar halls, well-equipped laboratories, workshops, well-stocked libraries, dedicated highspeed broadband Internet connectivity and well-qualified faculty. Five Academic Blocks house the different departments. The administrative building “Dr.Mahalingam Vigyan Bhavan” is an architectural beauty and a land mark in Coimbatore. The management has invested more than Rs. 800 million for the creation of state of the art infrastructural facilities.

Central library: Mahatma Gandhi Central Library of our college is housed in the first floor of the Dr. Mahalingam Vigyan Bhavan in an area of 16945 sq.ft. (1575 sq.m.). The main aim of the central library is to provide information services and access to print and e-resources to support the informational needs of the institute community. The fully computerized central library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of books, printed and electronic journals, CD-ROMs, on-line databases, audio video cassettes ,project reports etc. Open Access System is being followed to access the books and journals.

In addition to the well stocked and fully automated central library, each department of KCT has its own departmental library to facilitate easy access to the faculty. A total of 7321 volumes are available in the departmental libraries.

Hostel: KCT students Hostel is an integral part of the college campus. It has two distinct sections for boys and girls students. The gent’s hostel comprises of four blocks with total of 434 rooms. The Ladies hostel has a total of 265 rooms in its two blocks.
All men and women residents of the hostel are provided rooms of a triple sharing basis. All common areas like dining, washrooms, lobby, terrace, etc. are provided separately for men and women.
