The Placement and Training: The Placement and Training Department headed by a senior professor Dr. M Vijayadev as Placement and Training officer and assisted by a senior industry experienced person Mr. B Venkatrama Rao as Industry Liaison Officer. The department is having a small group of dedicated and committed staff. The department is provided with all the facilities to enable the deserving students of the Institution to get competitive placements. Reputed companies are visiting our Institute regularly. As many as 120-130 companies are visiting our Institute. About 95% of eligible students are placed in every year.Placement Department is arranging Training on Aptitude Test and Soft Skills before students are attending for campus recruitment program.Many of our students are recruited by very reputed companies and are doing extremely good.

Central library: The Library began its existence in 1962. With its modern collection, knowledge resources and innovative information services fills an essential role for Students, faculty and the surrounding community in their intellectual pursuits. It is a Centralized Air Conditioned hybrid library with the state of the art technological applications. It holds knowledge resources predominantly related to Engineering, Technology, Management and allied subjects. The Library collection comprises of 83210 Volumes of Books , 293 National & International printed journals and subscribes to 991 (Full Text) major E-resources through INDEST-AICTE Consortium, New Delhi and nearly 24000 Databases (J-GATE & MATHSCI.NET) through M/s Informatics (India) Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore. In addition there are 2277 Bound volumes of journals.
HOSTEL & CANTEEN:
The institution provides both residential hostel and lodging home accommodations to the students separately for boys and girls. The residential hostel is managed by a teacher-warden appointed by the Principal. Admissions are made on first come first served basis and every inmate is to conduct himself/herself as per prevailing rules and regulations. Right of admission and right of expulsion rest with the authorities. A canteen is situated in the premises of the institution and sufficient care is taken to see that healthy and wholesome food is served during working hours.
MSRIT’s: biggest inter college tech fest that witnessed enthusiastic participation from the brightest minds of students all across Karnataka. Spread across 3 days, the fest was a mix of events from a number of domains. The best of creative minds put their skills to display at the Website designing and Photoshop contests. Traditional events like On the spot programming, Circuit designing and debugging and tech quiz attracted large participation. Our innovative events like Cyber Treasure hunt were widely appreciated. The marvelous concept of Vedic mathematics was brought into the limelight. Overall the events received participation from 14 different colleges.
Talk on Innovation (7th March 2009): The IEEE GOLD Affinity Group, Bangalore Section in collaboration with IEEE MSRIT Student Branch organized a talk on Innovation by Dr. Subir Saha, of Motorola India Research Lab, Bangalore. He inspired the students of various colleges into innovation and entrepreneurship at the MSRIT Campus on March 7th, 2009. The talk was a great success with enthusiastic participation from the audience as well.
FPGA Workshop: A two day workshop, FPGA based design for VLSI applications were held in collaboration with the IEEE student branch of IISC. Around 85 students actively participated in this hands-on workshop. The workshop covered the following topics
•VLSI design methodologies – Issues in Semi custom design
•PLD basics and Introduction to FPGA architectures
•VHDL concepts – Coding for synthesis (with demo using Xilinx tools)
•Advanced digital design concepts – Performance issues in Semi custom VLSI design
•Using Xilinx Chip scope tool for on chip debugging
•Simulating synthesizing and downloading on Xilinx FPGA board
•Timing simulation, applying timing constraints and analyzing the STA (static timing analysis) report using Xilinx ISE tool
•On chip verification using Xilinx Chips
