Placement: Recognizing the complexity of the career planning process and the variety of options available to graduates, the Department of Training & Placement provides programmers and services to meet professional development needs of students. The department partners with students in the process of career management from self-assessment to placement assistance in career that meets individual goals. Throughout the year, senior executives and alumni from a variety of business participate in scheduled informal discussions about industry and career trends. Representatives share practical advice and insights gained from their own backgrounds and experience. The uniqueness of the training activity is that the programmer finds a place in the regular timetable of the University right from first year. This molds the students into ’rounded personalities’.

Central library: Working Hours
Week days (Monday to Saturday)     –   8.30 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
Sunday & Other Public Holidays      –   9.00 a.m. to   5.00 p.m.
However the timings will be extended till 12 midnight during the working days of the Study holidays, terminal Examination and a day before the Continuous Internal Assessment Examination (Mid Term Exam).

Counter Timings

Counter timings refers to transactions (i.e. issue and return) of the books.
Weekdays (Monday to Saturday)      –         8.30 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
Sundays & Other Public Holidays     –         No Transaction & Restricted Services

Personal Belongings

Users (Students, Research Scholars and staff Members) are permitted to take only one note book inside the Library for taking notes. Other personal belongings should be kept in the safety lockers available in the personal belongings room. The key for safety locker can be had from our Library staff at the Counter on production of ID card. On return of key after the Library usage, the ID card will be returned. The Central Library is not responsible for any loss of your valuables. No printed materials/Xerox Materials will be permitted to take inside the Central Library.

Hostel: There are 6 boys’ hostel and 2 girls’ hostels providing accommodation to over 3000 boys and 1200 girls.
The hostels are of the following types:
1. Single Room / 2-in-1 / 4-in1 (Bath Attached).
2. Single Room / 2-in-1 / 3-in-1 / 4-in-1
The hostels provide a salubrious ambience and a feel-good climate and are equipped with all amenities for living, dining and recreation that makes each inmate feel at home. They provide a right atmosphere for intellectual stimulation and balanced growth.

SASTRA has always believed in catering to the palate and providing wholesome and balanced nutrition in a hygienic environment. A completely balanced vegetarian diet is served in all hostels equipped with steam-cooking facilities. There is also North Indian Cuisine in addition to the South Indian culinary delights.
Wi-Fi is being made available to all the inmates of the hostels
A fully furnished Guest House is available on campus for the benefit of visiting dignitaries and parents. There are 30 rooms with all basic amenities catering to the needs of the visitors. The guest house is available for visiting parents on a first come first serve basis determined on the basis of their online booking for a nominal charge. The guest house is supported by a full fledged restaurant for the convenience of the guests.

  1. Dear Sir/Madam,
    I completed my +12 in 2014 acquiring 88%.I would like do to BBA.LLB in your college .I did not appear for CLAT exam.Is there any vacancy in management quota.I would like to now what is the procedure for admission and fee structure.Is there a procedure to appoint students who didnt appear for any law exams (CLAT,LSAT)

  2. I have got 96% in maths physics and chemistry in +2, and not qualified in mains is there any chance of getting on +2 merit basis
