Placements
Placements: UIT has an active Training and Placement cell comprising faculty having valuable experience in industry and academics. The cell arranges seminars and training courses. Through linkages in companies and industries the placement cell arranges, prioritizes and prepares the schedule of company visits in the campus.
Training and Placement cell arranges Industrial Training sessions during IV, V, VI and VIII semester vacations.
The cell endeavours to achieve its objective to facilitate the growth of competent professionals, focusing on assimilation, generation and dissemination of knowledge. The Society which runs a number of professional education centres is a tribute to late Smt. Sushila Devi . Our mission is to provide futuristic technical education through dedicated and highly competent faculty. We wish to set global standards for our students so that they are technologically superior and ethically stronger.
In June 2006 Uttaranchal Institute of Technology was established to cater to the students in the field of B. Tech and Management courses. The Institute is popularly known as UIT. The Institute initially offered four branches of engineering namely Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. At the very first State Counseling Session, the Institute received an enthusiastic response from the aspiring students by choosing UIT as their first choice. We can proudly boast of having students on our rolls who have secured high rank in AIEEE. We do not compromise on the quality of our students.
Central library: The excellence of any library is a testament to the users and institution’s policies that have nurtured and supported it. The library collection of the institute is a true collaborative effort. The libraries of the institute continues to adapt to challenging new demands and provide a professional and conducive atmosphere for the enrichment of mental abilities of our faculties and students through selection, acquisition organizing, maintaining and making accessible a collection of printed and non-printed primary and secondary resources. This will support the educational programs. We encourage optimum use of library materials.
Hostel: Every effort is made at UIT to provide home comforts. There are separate hostels for boys & girls on-campus. The hostel residents have access to well furnished rooms, pollution free environment, Wi-Fi Campus, restaurant, Coffee Shop, & ATM, RO filtered drinking water, and all such facilities required for comfort and relaxation of our scholars.
Mess: The spotlessly maintained and spacious dining hall serves nutritious, hygienic, wholesome food, cooked with the help of unique cooking facility.
