Campus: CDLM Govt. Engg. College, Panniwala Mota was formally inaugurated on 26 September, 2003. It is named after Ch. Devi Lal, the former deputy Prime Minister of India and also the former Chief Minister of Haryana.The Chaudhary Devi Lal Memorial Government Engineering College, Panniwala Mota, Sirsa was established to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of Engineering education with focus on new frontiers of technology, and to achieve excellence in the connected fields. The college is situated at Panniwala Mota, district Sirsa (Haryana). It is about 270 Kms. from Delhi on Delhi-Sirsa- Fazilka National Highway (NH-10) and 22 Kms. from Sirsa on Sirsa-Dabwali road. It is at a distance of about 250 Kms. from Chandigarh. It is well connected by road.
Central library: The College Library is presently housed in teaching block where adequate number of books, journals and periodicals are available. However, a new building for the College Library is under construction. During the short span of 1 year the College has been able to procure no.of books, and subscribe to Indian and foreign journals. The Library is Computerized.
- Circulation Rules
- General books are issued to all eligible members as per their entitlements.
- Books issued will not be accepted back on the same day
- Reader can claim books (reserve) already issued, at the circulation counter
- Books are reissued only if there are no claims or available another copy of the same book on stack.
- The readers should check the book thoroughly for missing pages, chapters, pictures etc., while borrowing the book.
- No book in damaged condition will be accepted from the reader. Mutilated or spoiled books will have to be replaced by the borrower.
- The borrowing facility can be withdrawn or restricted in case of misbehavior or misuse of the library.
Hostel: The college has well furnished separate hostels for boys and girls .Boys hostel is within the campus for 200 boys Girls hostel for 200 girls at Panniwala Mota, Distt. Sirsa in the ensuing Internet facility through wireless local area network has also been planned for the hostel residents, such that they can access to internet from their room if their computer has Bluetooth communication interface. All hostels provide good accommodation and facility for extra curricular activities.
Each hostel has its own mess, round the clock electricity, RO water supply, indoor and outdoor games facilities. The library, Computer Lab and Internet facilities are also provided to the hostel residents beyond normal working hours and on holidays. PCO and Canteen are also available within the campus. The students are advised to avail themselves of the hostel facilities available in the campus, instead of commuting long distance by own/ hired vehicles. This will help to avoid wastage of time, physical exertion and mental agony of the parents. The newly admitted students are advised to fill the hostel requisition form at the time of reporting, so that seat in hostel is reserved for them.
