Placements
NIET is among one of the top colleges when it comes to Placement. The college have a dedicated Placement team which works very hard and will make a student to do work hard. NIET is the only college in greater Noida which provides the finishing school facility to final year student. While most of the final year students of other colleges will be sitting at home, NIET will make sure that they are coming to college and are attending workshops. The placement team is dedicated and separate workshops for aptitude, technical rounds, HR etc. are conducted. It would not be an exaggeration to say that NIET actually prepares its students for workshop like it’s the first batch of college and every single student should be placed.
You can get an idea about the placements by the fact that 4 students of NIET got recruited in SAHARA Group. (South Africa) with a package of 10.40 LPA and 4 Students from Chemical Engineering Department got recruited in Evolution.(Canada) with a package of 50,000 US$/annum.
Facilities
Canteen:
Canteen is the one place where a student spends most of the time. But, if you are in NIET you will remain away from it. It has got one small corner where they have made a so called canteen. Chole bhature and poori sabzi along with chai, biscuit is the only thing you will get. And for getting this, you will need to win a battle as it is not capable of handling large number of students NIET have.
There is an AMUL shop and Nescafe Shop which are quite good and can be called canteen.
Hostel:
Hostel is just average but if you are a 1st year student you will get good rooms. For girls, hostel is like a jail. They will not allow you to roam even in the campus after 6p.m for obvious security reasons.
Societies:
There are many societies running in the college. There are nukkad natak societies, dance groups, editorial clubs etc. However, NIET does not focuses much on extracurricular activities and you will have to work really hard if you are planning on to open or join a society.
