  • DAAD Offering Scholarships for Indian Students

    THE German Academic Exchange Service ( DAAD) is offering scholarships for Indian students in various categories.

    The categories include public policy and good governance, conflict studies and management programme and courses with relevance to developing countries and Under the Post graduate Course for Professionals with Relevance to Developing Countries, candidates can do a programme in a select subject at one of the top German universities.

    Germany’s higher education institutions enjoy an excellent reputation. Teaching and research provide key impulses for innovation and progress. German universities combine research and studies and have been the scene for ground-breaking discoveries such as the printing press, computer and mp3 that have become an inseparable part of our modern lives.

    Every year, thousands of young men and woman from abroad decide to begin or continue studying at a German university. As a result, Germany is one of the world’s most popular places to study and has witnessed a 70% increase in enrolment of Indian students at its universities since the academic year 2008.

    Admissions are open to graduates from any discipline with a minimum of 2 years of work experience.

    The Master’s in Public Policy and Good Governance allows graduates to focus on areas such as International Relations, Public Management, Administration and Civil Society.

    The Master’s in Conflict Studies and Management Programme at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy in Erfurt focuses on areas including regional security ( especially developing frameworks for regional security architectures), terrorism, governance, peace and institution building. The deadline for submitting the form is July 31. The application forms are available on www. daaddelhi. org.
