CBSE 12th Results 2014 delayed, not releasing today
CBSE 12th results are to be declared shortly, though not today. According to the speculations, the results were to be released today, but in a conversation with India Today, the officials confirmed that they will not be announced today. They might be announced tomorrow i.e. May 27 or day after tomorrow i.e. May 28. The candidates are required to keep a check on the official website for updates.
The class 12th exams began in the month of March and were kept in hold for some subjects due to the Lok Sabha elections that were to be held in the nation. Thus, the exams finally ended in April.
The CBSE 12th results can also be checked via SMS or Email IDs, if the candidates have registered for the same in advance. The year 2014 witnessed an increase of 9.32 per cent in the total number of candidates that registered for the class 12th board exams through CBSE.
CBSE 12th class exams saw a total of 10,29,874 candidates who registered for the exam , out of which 6,03,064 were boys and 4, 26,810 were girls. The exams took place in 3039 centres where 8602 schools participated.
For candidates, who receive compartment will get three chances to re-attempt. However, the candidates who had appeared for the examination in the year 2012 or before and are placed in the 'Compartment' category shall be provided five chances.
CBSE has also begun their counseling sessions for parents and students who are worried about their education future and need some guidance. The students from any part of the country can dial a toll free number 1800 11 8004 and drop a line with operator for general queries related to result or with counselors for one to one telephonic counseling from 8 am up to 10 pm till June 10.
