    Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014: 6th day India’s Best Day so far

    Day six of Glasgow commonwealth games 2014 turns out to be India’s most eventful day, bagging 9 medals which include 3 gold medals.

    India's medals tally went up to total of 36 with 10 gold, 15 silver and 11 bronze, but slipped a place to sixth after having regained the fifth position.

    Stunning performance from Indian wrestler and shooter, as they dominate the game at Glasgow.

    Two-time Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar, Amit Kumar and teenager Vinesh Phogat bagging three gold medals in their respective categories. Indian wrestlers won three of the five gold medals on offer at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC).
    Rajeev Tomar lost to Canadian Korey Jarvis in the final of the men's 125 kg freestyle final and bags silver.

    In shooting Lajja Gauswami won bronze in the women's 50-metre rifle.
    Harpreet Singh and Sanjeev Rajput clinched silvers in the men's 25 metre rapid fire pistol and men's 50m rifle 3 positions events, Manavjit Sandhu (men's trap), Gagan Narang (men's 50m rifle 3 positions) and Lajja Gauswami (women's 50m rifle 3 positions) brought in the bronzes.
