    Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014: 3 golds on Day 8: India at 5th Position

    Indian Wrestlers and shooters continue their dominance in the game.

    On the eight day of ongoing Commonwealth Games 2014 at Glasgow India added 3 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 3 bronze medals to retain the 5th position with overall total of 47 medals in the tally.

    Yogeshwar (men`s 65kg freestyle) and Babita Kumari (women`s 55kg) won golds, Geetika Jhakar (women`s 63kg) failed to match her compatriots and managed a silver on the wrestling mat for India. Vikas Gowda has won gold medal at Men's Discuss Throw Finals.

    It was good news for India in other disciplines as well as young Dipa Karmarkar scripted history by becoming the first Indian woman gymnast to win a medal at the Commonwealth Games by bagging a bronze

    In shooting Harpreet Singh bagged Silver in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men's Finals.Sanjeev Rajput and Gagan Narang bagged a silver and bronze respectively in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men's Finals. Narang also bagged a silver in the 50m Rifle Prone Men's finals.

    Sakshi Malik loses to A Adeniyi of Nigeria in Women's FS 58 kg, settle for silver,in Women's FS 53 kg Lalita loses to O Adekuoroye of Nigeria, India get silver.
