  • National Students' Space Challenge 2014

National Students' Space Challenge is the sole technical fest of its genre dedicated to promote space enthusiasm in India. It was conceived by Space Technology Students' Society, (spAts) a group of IITians from various disciplines working towards a common goal of motivating space interest among the student community of India, which is emerging as one of the major forefronts in the field of space technology. Officially, spAts is the student body of Kalpana Chawala Space Technology Cell (KCSTC), the contact point of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

The main aim of the fest is to create scenarios similar to those experienced by astronauts in space and scientists working on space technology and thereby motivate students towards a career involving space sciences. For this same reason spAts came up with another idea called Space Technology Awareness Camp (STAC). This year NSSCí14 will be conducted on 31st October to 2nd November at IIT Kharagpur. And it promises a three day experience to remember your entire life.

There are also two online pre-fest events which have been launched on our website, Spacecom and T-shirt design competition. These will be free of cost and anyone can participate. There are prizes worth Rs. 9.5 lakh and exciting goodies.
