This App can Detect if Someone is Spying you

A new application called SnoopSnitch can detect International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) catchers by keeping a tab if someone is spying on you.

IMSI catchers are eavesdropping devices used for intercepting mobile phone traffic and tracking the movement of Smartphone users, media reports said.

This app use radio signals to detect if some is spying on you and claims to trick phone into connecting to them before accessing data.

The app currently works only on rooted androids that have Qualcomm chips inside such as Sony and Samsung Galaxy models, but its makers are developing more options.

The app scans for signals that indicate a switch from a legitimate tower to a 'stingray', where information may be being collected.
