    In his record inning Chris Gayle faced 147 balls and made 215 runs with 10 fours, 16 sixes. This is the highest individual score in the cricket world cup.

    Chris Gayle becomes the fourth person to score the double century in the one day international format of circket. The other three batsmen to score double century being the Indians.
