  • Fate of 12 Lakhs students to be decided today JEE-Mains 2016 Result

    Joint Entrance Examination most commonly known as the JEE-Mains result is likely to be declared today. It is said that about 12 lakh students have applied for the JEE-Mains 2016

    JEE-Mains Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main).

    The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.

    The States of Gujarat, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination.

    The (JEE) Main paper I and paper II results were held on on April 3 (offline) and April 9 and 10 (online). The JEE scores form the basis of admission into NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical Institutions. Candidates who clear the JEE Mains examination are eligible to sit for the JEE advanced for admission in IITs.
