  • JEE MAIN 2018 Exam-Eligibility, Application Date and Fee

    Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Mains 2018 registration process has been commenced from 1st December 2017 and will conclude on January 1, 2018. JEE Main has 2 papers and is unlike JEE Advanced, has fixed exam structure and is not subject to change every year. Mock test (Computer Based Exam) of JEE Mains has been declared by CBSE on 13th December 2017.

    JEE is consequently conducted to offer admissions to interested and eligible candidates in undergraduates Engineering programmes at IIT’s ( Indian Institute of information technology , NIT’s (National institute of Technology ) and other CFTI’s ( Centrally funded technical institutions) located across the boundaries.

    JEE Main 2018 is conducted by CBSE in offline and online modes to proceed towards admission process as well as JEE Advanced 2018. JEE Main 2018 online exam will be held on April 15 and 16 and offline exam will be held on April 8, 2018.


    A candidate require to meet the following Eligibility Criteria so as to appear in JEE Mains engineering entrance exam. The foundation is listed below:

    Aadhaar Card

    All India candidates must have Aadhaar card to apply for JEE Mains.

    Qualifying Exams

    Students should have passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2016 and 2017 from any recognized boards.

    Age Limit

    Student born on or after 1st October 1993 are eligible to apply .5 year relaxation is given for reserved categories.


    There is no cap of marks needed to appear in the JEE Main exam. For admissions to IIT’s, NIT’s, CFTI’s, student must have secured 75% marks (General), and 65% for SC/ST.


    Students must have the physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / vocational subject.


    Students can appear only three times for JEE Main exam.

    Candidate can pay application fees through online and offline mode. In Offline process payment can be done through the Challan of Canara/Syndicate/ICICI Bank. The e-challans will be generated by filling the application form. Payments through other modes like DD, Money order etc is not acceptable. On other hand online payment can be done through debit or credit card.

    How to apply for JEE Mains 2018?

    Here are queue of some important and easy steps that will guide you for the registration process for JEE Mains:

    Visit the official website of JEE Mains 2018.

    Click the highlighted tab “ Apply for JEE Mains 2018 “

    Go through it thoroughly , and click on the “ Proceed to Apply Online “

    Fill all necessary detail in the Authentication form that will appear on the screen, Fill all the necessary detail and submit it.

    Now, next the JEE Main 2018 Application form will appear on the screen.

    Fill the required details in the form, ensuring the details are fair.

    Review the application form and verify the details.

    Tap on the icon of “ upload Scanned image “ and click ‘browse’ button and search your file.

    Now click on “Final upload “to upload the scanned documents. ( photograph & signature of candidate and guardians )

    Go through the “pay examination fee“option.

    Pay the fee in your desired mode either offline or online.

    Once you receive the fee payment confirmation.log in again with your Application number and password.

    Click on the link related to “Print acknowledgement Page “and take the print out of it.
