The first ever image of black hole was captured on April 10, 2019. Whole world was surprised by this image as it was considered an impossible feat. Image captured was of Super Massive Black Hole (SMBH) at the center of M87 or Virgo A a supergiant elliptical galaxy in the Virgo constellation.
