As per an official notice released by CBSE different set will be used during the JEE Main examination. In each set, each subject carries the same percent of easy, medium and difficult questions. So ensuring the same difficulty level of each set of question paper as per the practice of the Board in the year 2012.

IIT's have been been in the news for quite awhile now. Be it the new entrance procedure or giving oppurtunity to NIT students to get a degree from IITs. These new provisions pleased the students for sure but the new year may spell bad news for engineering aspirants, with the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) planning an 80% fee hike.
The decision to hike fees for undergraduate courses from Rs 50,000 to Rs 90,000 annually will be taken at an IIT Council meeting on Monday.

The board of IIT directors has decided that the highly competitive Joint Entrance Exam will no longer be the only route to the much-coveted campuses of the Indian Institute of Technology. They have agreed to permit National Institute of Technology (NIT) students to complete their final year in an IIT.

The Indian Institute of Technology-Patna (IIT-P) finally held its first-ever convocation in Patna on Sunday with former President A P J Abdul Kalam conferring degrees on 89 students.
There was palpable excitement on the campus as the President of India Gold Medal was handed over to Gagandeep Singh, a passout from the computer science and engineering faculty, for securing the highest cumulative progress index.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development came out with a new exam pattern for the AIEEE & the IIT-JEE entrance exams. This created a lot of confusion amongst the aspirants.

FOUR YEARS after they were established, the new Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are turning out to be just a ‘quantitative’ achievement. Seven out of the eight new institutions are yet even to attract almost half the number of teachers that the central government had expected them to.
