Apple eying huge sales for the iPad mini, orders 10 million of them!
The iPad Mini is coming, and it's going to come with a bang! There are strong rumors all over the internet that Apple has already ordered 10 million displays for the iPad Mini.
Earlier, there was a report in Fortune which said that Apple will take the covers off the new iPad at a special event to be held on October 17. The same report said that Apple will officially send invites for the event till October 10 and by next month, the iPad Mini will go to sale.
The move to have a smaller sized tablet in it's lineup came after Apple began to lose it's ground to it's competitors like the Amazon Kindle Fire HD and Google's Nexus 7 tablet. Both of these tablets sell for under $200 and offer some serious power under the hood.
There are reports that Apple might price the iPad mini anywhere between $250-$300. If that turns out to be true, it'll be a tough task for the iPad mini to prove it's worth over the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire HD.
The only thing we know about the iPad mini is that it'll feature a 7.8-inch retina display, as opposed to the current, 10-inch display on the iPad.
The success of the iPad mini is almost certain as now, it'll get more compact and will prove to be an ideal mobility option for customers. With that, the price will be lower which would surely amount to higher sales.
