The renown PC maker, Lenovo has forayed into the Indian smartphone segment with a bang! The chinese manufacturer has launched a host of Android smartphones that start from as low as Rs.6,499 and go straight up to the premium segment at Rs.28,499.
At the launch, Amar Babu R.K, Managing Director Lenovo India said, “India is one of the first markets outside of China, where we are launching these smartphones. One is, of course, the market opportunities. The other is the eco-system that will revolve around the four screens (TV, computer, mobile and tablet) and we are foraying into the handset segment with a vision for the future."
The five smartphones introduced by Lenovo are, the K860, K880, P700i, S560, A60+.
This is the high-end smartphone that Lenovo has offers at a price of Rs.28,499. The features offered by the K860 somewhat justify the high-end price tag.
It's specs include a 5 inch Full-HD display powered by a 1.5 Ghz quad core processor under the hood, that coupled with 1 GB of RAM. Running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the K860 packs an 8 megapixel primary camera and a 2 megapixel secondary camera. The phone houses a 2,250 mAh battery.
Just like it's elder brother, the S880 too packs a 5-inch display, but with a lower, 480x800 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it has a 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and 512MB RAM. The phone gets 4GB of internal storage that's expandable via a micro-SD card slot.
For shutterbugs, there's 5 megapixel rear camera and front facing VGA camera as well. The S880 offers standard connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and A-GPS. This one too, has a 2,250 mAh battery and comes at price tag of Rs.18,999.
This one is a mid-range smartphone Lenovo that comes with a 4-inch IPS display and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor. The S560 comes with 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage and a 5-megapixel rear cameraLenovo has kept its price at Rs 14,499. There's no front camera on this one and that's really a shame as almost all the phones at this price offer a front camera as well.

The P700i from lenovo sports a 4-inch WVGA display. The smartphone runs on a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM. The P770i has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel front facing camera as well. Just like the A60+, this too has a dual-SIM card slot. The phone comes with 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a micro-SD card.
The smartphone runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and packs an impressive, 2,500 mAh battery. The P770i comes with a price tag of Rs.12,599.
The budget smartphone from Lenovo, the A60+ is priced at Rs.6,499 and comes with a 3.5-inch display that has a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.Running on the older, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the phone is powered by a 1GHz Single core processor couples with 512MB RAM and houses a 1500 mAh battery. The phone comes with an internal storage of 144 MB with a Micro-SD card slot.
The Lenovo A60+ has a 2 megapixel rear camera and for connectivity, there Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The phone also has a dual-SIM card slot.
