Formula is the primary trickster during the examination. You might have sat down the whole day memorising which formula needs to be applied for which concept and yet in the middle of an examination, you might either forget it completely or parts of it or you might plainly mix up different formulae together and would be cursing the examination paper setter.

The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) is the official organization responsible for approving those Houston CNA training programs located in and around the city.

    Houston CNA Certification Requirements

    • Infection control
    • Promoting residents' independence
    • Personal care
    • Respecting residents' rights
    • Basic nursing skills
    • Care of cognitively impaired residents
    • Mental health and social service needs
    • Basic restorative care

    After completing all of the curricular offerings, students are eligible to sit for a competency examination with contains both written and practical skills assessments. Those who pass are placed upon the Texas CNA Registry of those legally able to work in nursing homes throughout the state.

    The Department of Aging and Disability Services approves over 700 CNA schools throughout Texas, 51 of which are located in the Houston area.
