Education and Certifications
o Bachelor's degree or work experience required
Work Experience
o Previous benefits knowledge highly desirable
o Entry-level BAs normally come from the external market, primarily through campus recruiting
o Experienced BAs normally come from the external market, primarily from other consulting companies
o Ability to read client plan(s) and provisions and understand how that translates to the ongoing
processing environment
o Basic understanding of regulatory and legislative knowledge
o Intermediate understanding of client administrative environment
o Ability to distinguish between an isolated participant issue versus a more systematic issue
o Ability to properly identify and document a system defect
