Global Financial Systems is currently looking for a talented Oracle Applications Database Administrator with 2 to 5 years experience for it's Hyderabad, India office. The Apps DBA will perform administration and engineering for Oracle e-Business Suite and multiple large databases including data warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience with large-scale, massively concurrent, highly available distributed Oracle systems and Oracle EBS on a UNIX/Linux platform. Successful candidates will have the ability to rapidly troubleshoot complex technical problems under pressure. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required. Strong experience with Oracle e-Business Suite database administration is preferred as well as experience with data warehouse strategies and environments.
Responsibilities - Operations
Support the architecture and process of Oracle 11g and E-business Release 11i /R12
Install, upgrade, and patch Oracle RDBMS, and E-Business Suite ,10g IAS and Weblogic
Install and Configure 10g/11g/12c Grid Control for RDBMS and E-Business Suite
Perform install, clone and execute all application DBA tasks (All AD utilities)
Define and manage Oracle Applications concurrent managers and batch processing
Define and Maintain load balancing, fault tolerance and Parallel Concurrent setup for E-Business Suite components on standalone and RAC systems.
Administer Oracle database security and maintain SOX audit requirements for RDBMS and E-Business Suite
Develop and manage the backup and recovery process for RDBMS and E-Business suite.
Perform archive and purging functions provided by Oracle Applications
Troubleshoot RDBMS and E-business Suite related issues using diagnostic and performance tools.
Responsible for TAR tracking and issue resolution with Oracle
Proactively monitor and perform health-check for the databases and E-Business Suite using 10g/11g/12c Grid Control
Code Migration including workflow code
Tunes SQL procedures to work optimally with DB and 11i.
Install workflow engine and setup notification Mailer
Act as a liaison between the Oracle system Administrator, project development staff, and functional team
Test, validate and implement performance and resource optimization improvements in consultation with development
Maintain development and production environments. Monitor and maintain database security and database software
Resolve problems in database bottleneck areas like wait event tuning and SQL tuning. Check for free space, fragmentation, nightly/weekly backup status, dead-locks
Maintain key management, index management and data dictionary
Monitor scheduled batch jobs and queues including: run command lines, shell scripts, SQLs, on-call support, run scripts, monitor queues, connect to various servers and verify the results
Participate in on-call for production databases - daily maintenance, monitoring, problem resolution and internal customer/dev support
Database performance tuning - optimizing databases for performance and scale
Design, develop, and implement Oracle database instances for the development and production environment
