Grievances over exam results forces DU to take action
Delhi University is set to declare its examination Results soon. The University, anticipating grievances over exam Results has set up a mechanism which will attend to any discrepancies related to exam Results.
The university has segregated student complaints into four broad grievances – unavailable Results, delay in declaring Results, incorrect subject mentioned and the student marked as absent despite attending the exam. Students are to file their grievances at specific counters set up in both the North and South Campuses. The deadline to submit these applications is within ten days of the declaration of Results. This new mechanism will give students a platform to have their issues addressed and will control the hue and cry after the Results come out.
Delhi University has posted this information on its website and is planning to set up posters across the campus with details about this new facility.
In order to further streamline the examination and evaluation process, the University had created an evaluation schedule for teachers. Almost 90 percent of the exam papers have been evaluated. As per a source from DU, some examination Results for particular subjects might be announced sooner, but all of the evaluation will be complete and the Results declared by the end of the month. The same source credited the DU teachers for their speedy evaluation.
DU had requested teachers to simultaneously teach students and evaluate papers. Furthermore, the university has uploaded all the evaluation data onto the main server. It is taken from the evaluation centre and sent to the university. A hard copy is sent to the university and the data from both is evaluated and compared for discrepancies.
