    SRS (Sea Guard Reference system) module is a system simulator used for stabilization of system it is a power PC 405 processor based system which communicates with internal electronics of ships for stabilization. The communication logic which is needed to implement has to take data from transmitter First in first out (FIFO)and transmits with a Manchester encoding format at a speed of 1Mbps similarly a receiver module which receives serial Manchester encoded data and stores in a FIFO. Complete communication protocol has to be implemented with a synchronous signal at every 17 to 20 milliseconds.
    The VHDL module developed has to be integrated with power PC 405 in XILINX EDK 10.1 tools the system software has to be developed and validated in the SRS test setup.
    The main aim of this project is to design an interface between a tracker processor cabinet (TPC) and the gun stabilization system in naval warfare, when a target is to be pointed from the ship, the movement of the gun is to be stabilized against ship motion and the surrounding environment. This can be done by providing the gun with the relative opposite movements.
    The information about the fixed or moving target is obtained by the Tracker processor cabinet from the hull mounted tracking RADAR system. This data is given to Sea Guard Reference system (SRS) module which stabilizes the gun by overcoming the occurring errors like ship movement due to water-flow, wind and temperature.
