Each of them is creating a niche market for itself. Netbooks have been around for a long time and have not made a major impact on the laptop market. Pads/tablets with existing configuration (read low memory) will not satisfy the needs of developers. They have a long road ahead to improve their configuration to meet the needs of all those who use laptops. Yes they have certainly created a niche for themselves. Did I hear the cloud will take care of the memory needs ? Most companies still consider the cloud to be a privacy concern though that is being addressed.
The most highly evolved species of computer, the laptop (aka notebook) computer allows you to work without being tethered to an office. Portability and good performance make laptop PCs an essential part of the daily lives of millions of people, from college students to business travelers. Even the least-expensive of today's laptops are well equipped for everyday work.
