About JNNCE:

Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering (JNNCE) was established in 1980 by the National Education Society, a pioneer society in Malnad region founded by freedom fighters of high repute. The College is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and also by Government of Karnataka. The College campus is spread over an area of more than forty acres having all amenities to cater to the needs of about 1500 students and 200 staff members.

Currently, Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering offers technical courses at various levels, all of them being approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and by Government of Karnataka as well. Spread over an area of 40 acres of land, the college provides all the basic amenities that are required for the smooth conduct of the courses.

Admission Procedure:-

Admissions are conducted through written entrance test KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) or COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) conducted every year by various test agencies.

Library, being a very important facility of the college has collection of more than 63,480 volumes and 13,896 single titles covering all branches of Science, Engineering and Management. More than 202 National and International technical journals and periodicals are subscribed every year. Library has separate lending section, reference library section and general reading section. To reach the students requirements in formal and e-resources, their institution has invested nearly about Rs. One Crore and Fourteen Lakh Fourty Two Thousand Six Hundred and Fourty till now, and to support in specific library and information services, JNNCE 11 dedicated trained and interested staff working sincerely for the cause of the students.


The College has separate Hostel facilities both for Boys and Girls. Three Hostels for boys are located in the campus housing about 401 boys. The girls hostel is a building located near to the campus housing about 115 Girls. P.G. and Final B.E. Students are provided with single rooms.
