    Dropping a year.....

I got 175 marks in JEE Mains, 87.6% in boards(CBSE), 260 in BITSAT and 108 in JEE Advanced. After the examination, I tried to find my weak spots that let me down in my preparation for JEE and now that I have found them, I am thinking about dropping a year and giving JEE a fresh start again but I am a bit reluctant due to the following:
    1. Changing pattern in JEE Advanced
    2. Unexpected rise that may occur in 20 percentile (qualifying for JEE Advanced)
    3. Being left behind a year as people say that droppers are deprived of job opportunities in campus placements as compared to freshers.
I am thinking about joining Resonance Kota for a droppers batch.
    Please share your valuable advice.

It is advisable for you to drop a year. At BITS score 260, you wont get anything. Your JEE Mains score is decent, but the normalization procedure might hamper your rank due to your board percentile. I would say you should drop and join a classroom program of Resonance or FIITJEE, and try to improve your rank in all three exams next year.
