you can begin by searching for a sample synopsis and read a few srs documents from other projects.
This will give you an idea about how you should begin.
Keep in mind that you need to use atleast ONE IBM technology, go for Eclipse and DB2 for datatbase management. This will ease your project completion.
There are a few sample links to SRS in this thread's start aswell. Check them out.
