what could a rank of 18700 give in iiit gwalior (aieee 2012 score-187)..?
plz also tell in which round of counselling is it possible?

According to last year cutoff's u may get iiitm by 5th round.. but as there are only 4 rounds this year, u may get it either by 4th or in spot round...

What was the highest package there this year...? Someone was saying that it was 22 lacs...!

to best of my knowledge, the highest OnCampus package offered this year (2011-12 Batch) is 16.5 lpa by Microsoft..

hi.. aieee today announced their first indicative seat allotment...... it was showing that i can get IIIT Gwalior....... but in the evening second indicative seat allotment was announced and there it showed me no college available.........what does this mean.....?????????
and what is the use of indicative allotments....???

This Indicative Seat is one of the Useless trials made by CCB... I dont kno y they started it... but that simply adds tension to the aspirants... Mine is a similar case last time... Even i got IIITM Gwalior IT as indicative seat in first indicative allotment but later in second indicative allotment, it showed none... but i got IIITM in 3rd round of councelling... So, Don't Worry about that...

U can get IIITM by 4th round.... last time the cutoff for 3rd round was 16443.... well, we can't say how the cutoff's would be this year... u may get it by 3rd round even... hope for the best...

and.. the number of students are 129 not 65.... 65 is the total no. of seats available for general category students...

some (10-15) opt for higher studies.... and some go for Off-Campus Placements... so, we dont have the correct data of this year's placements as of now... the placement office wud release the data soon through the website....

if someone does btech+mba degree from this college, what kind of job profile is offered? i mean is it technical or more to the management side?

I got AIR 15007 in AIEEE 2012. As seen in current days the cuttoff's for IIIT Allahabad(Amethi Campus) is less than last years upto 3rd allotment. Now I have option to wait for 4rth allotement or to join Thapar (Computer Science)or Fill IIIT Gwalior as option when the choices will be unlocked.
After analysing IIIT Gwalior's details i saw that everything in this college is awesome except for the placements. The highest package offered was 12.5lacs by microsoft and 4.8lacs average. These are too much uncomparable to IIIT(Amethi); same is the case with Thapar. What should I do??

Those Placement details are of the year 2011.. This Year's Placement details are not released (officially) by the placement office... but, this year there is a good placement scenario.. The average wud have crossed 5.5 or so as there were many good offers this time which include the Highest Package this time - 16.5lpa (OnCampus) by Microsoft followed by Direct offering 14lpa, samsung offering 8.5lpa to 14 students and more.....

Well.. Thapar was a good institution earlier.. It is not good now.. IIIT Amethi's cutoff is so less because the number of seats there are very less in comparision to IIITM Gwalior.. Also, the facilities at IIIT Amethi are worse.. as it is a newly established institute, it lacks proper facilities.. on the other hand, IIIITM is rich in Infrastructure.. It has been established in 1997.. being the first IIIT established in India, IIITM enjoys the status of being deemed University.. It has awesome facilities including hostel & mess.. Even placement wise, IIITM has a upper hand over Thapar & IIIT Amethi.... IIITM is an awesome place to be in... So, dont hesitate to join if at all u get it.. dont spare IIITM for IIIT Amethi or Thapar University... All the best wid ur decision...
