at this score your expected AIR-10000 to 13000.....so you can't get ee or mech at the top nits like nit trichy,warangal,allahabad,surathkaletc.
but you may get these branches in nit hamirpur,durgapur,jalandhar.
you can also get branches like software,automotive,civil,production and industrial engineering,mce at DTU and mpae,ice at NSIT..

hey, im getting the same score (i did post earlier) and hoping to get into NSIT, DTU. What are my chances.
i was told i'd have to wait till 6th round of councling.SO in case i dnt get anything there too. i'm effectively screwd then ? because all other colleges admitting thru AIEEE would have already completed with there procedure and i wont have any other option? No real idea how councling works. Could you give some info, especially regarding my options incase i don get a branch in NSIT.DTU

dude you will surely get a good branch at both dtu and nsit at such a good rank..

PARTICIPATE in the ccb counselling also...you can get good branches at nit hamirpur,durgapur,delhi,jalandhar...
you can then withdraw your admission from these nits when you get desired branch at dtu...ccb will refund your money paid at the time of admission in nit after deducting a suitable amount

chances in NIT TRICHY,NIT WARANGAL,NIT SURATHKAL,NIT ALLAHABAD,DCE,NSIT- NIL
BUT for SVNIT SURAT,NIT CALICUT( 80%CHANCES) and NIT KURUKSHETRA(65% chances) but after third round of counselling..
(NIT KURUKSHETRA>NIT CALICUT=SVNIT SURAT)

calicut is 4th ranked in nits & is far bettr than kkr n surat [i know it is new]

LAST year one of my friends scored 205 in aieee and his AIR was 9260...
so if we take last year cuttoffs into consideration, at score of 215 your AIR should be 7000-8000...which means you can't get mechanical in the top NITs ..
NOW the rankings of NITs
this year one of the students of MNNIT allahabad got a offer of 1.34 cr per annum from FACEBOOK......HIGHEST offer in NIT warangal is 45 lakh by FACEBOOK
SO,we can say NIT WARANGAL=MNNIT ALLAHABAD=NIT TRICHY=NIT SURATHKAL.....WHICH means NIT CALICUT can't be at 4th..
but i agree that NIT calicut>NIT KURUKSHETRA=SVNIT SURAT....BUT NIT calicut isn't far better,it is only better than NIT k

AT score of 234 your expected AIR -5000
so,you can get any branch of your choice at NIT Rourkela

SORRY!!!! i think you have only 10% chances to get chemical at any nit...but you may get bio-tech or bio-medical engineering there
