- B.Tech in Computer Science and MS in Computational Linguistics (5 years) [Intake: 20] - Not approved by AICTE

I have got an AIR 873(overall) in AIEEE 2011.
I wish to pursue computer science and engineering.
As i havent secured well enough in IITJEE for a comp science in any of the IITs, i am wondering about pursuing it in IIIT-H.
Is it true that Comp Science in IIIT-H is equivalent to Comp Science in IIT Bombay?as in, i have heard that IIIT-H is at par with the IITs(if not less) in Comp Science and that the placements are also not bad as compared to the IITs?
please guide.

IIIT Hyderabad CS is as good as it gets and alumni are in the best possible jobs in the country and abroad.....IIIT Hyderabad is the best college in AIEEE......You must go to IIIT H....

Well,I am sorry if it offends but how do you account for it?Is it comparable to the IITs?Better option than a CS at the NITs?
I have quite a tough call to make as it decides my life career.please guide.
It absilutely doesnt offend....I am here to help......
IIIT Hyderabad placements are at par with IITs.....and better than NITs....
Anoher factor to consider is that the cut offs for IIIT H are higher than even NIT Trichy
Also, the facilities and infra is much better than many NITs....
Rest is ur decision.....

Hello,
I got 800 AIR and 723 GEN AIR.
What should I opt for IIT Hyd or DCE (If I get). What trades of DCE are considered best.
What are the overall aspects of IIIT as compared to DCE like ambience, personality development, international exposure. I might pursue MBA/MS later on so I need to decide it. What could be good options. I am not interested in going far south like trichy,surathkal etc.

DCE/DTU is a college which is on a downward spiral interms of both placements, overall scope after passing out and opportunities during your stay there.
IIIT Hyd is the BEST college under AIEEE, and there is absolutely no comparison possible between the two colleges! Yes, all of the above parameters that you have mentioned, ambience, infra, international exposure..all are much much better at IIIT...
Go for IIIT Hyd anyday if you ask me...-.gif ")")
