Hey i got 1749 rank in AIEEE 2011 ....and my eligibility state is RAJASTHAN...so is der any provision of scholarship by IIIT HYD. ..as it is der for NITs and other centeral govt. institutes viz. 35000 per annum for air 1-2000.....thnx in advance....

Actually, IIIT Hyd is a private institution and the scholarship for NITs doesnt apply here.....

I got 2072 rank in jee and I am getting ECE at iit, guwahati and may be cse also. And 1885 rank in aieee so, I have a very possible chance to get cse at iiit,hyderabad. So, what will you recommend me- should I leave iit for iiit. My major doubts are
1.I have a lot interest in cse and okay interest in ece
2.Everybody says dont leave iit, it is brand name
3.My future plans are masters in foreign universities so tell what are the advantages I will get from iiit

Well, its a tough call....IIT brand name has considerably diluted and IIIT Hyderabad placements are way better than IIT G....Now if u are planning a foreign PG degree, then there are 2 scenarios - 1) u go straight after Btech (2) u work before u go......Now IIIT H will ensure that u are working in a much better company than lets say an IIT G can ensure...Also, CSE of IIIT H is at par with IITs...and ur interst is also CSE.....so i ll suggest u go for Hyd

And also should I reserve a seat in iit or I should leave it and completely consider hyderabad. And didi also tell if you found something not so good there, I would be grateful.

if we take into consideration past year's trends, u have a decent chance of making it to IIIT.....and what exactly is MCA in IIT G.....sorry am not aware.....Master of Computer Application? And there is nothing wrong in booking a seat in IIT......u can still try and get the top colleges in AIEEE in the meanwhile....

THe question is why shud u not book a seat?? Book it and then make your choice after all rounds of counseling are over.....or u are satisfied wth ur allotment.....

@kewljerk , at second counselling ,I think u will definitely get CSE at IIIT Hyderabad as this time u have 120 seats for cse and first round closed at 1710. So, with 1885 rank I think u will able to get CSE in second round.

I think this thread is also for placement , so this year CSE average is 9.8 lakh with highest placement of 1,30,000 dollars at google,mountain view.
