College of Engineering Science and Technology popularly known as CEST is the first college of Surya Group of Institutions established in the year 2005. Its chairman is famous politician and academician Sri Jagdambika Pal, Member of Parliament and Ex- Chief Minister, of Uttar Pradesh. The college started with a four year B.Tech programme in four branches, namely, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 240 .

Placements: The training & Placement Cell looks after placement of students and their personality development. It remains continuously in touch with the various organizations and motivate them to visit the college for placement and delivering lectures. The personality development programmes are conducted by the invited eminent experts at regular intervals. 17 firms/organizations visited the college for placement B.Tech and M.B.A. students.

Its chairman is famous politician and academician Sri Jagdambika Pal, Member of Parliament and Ex- Chief Minister, of Uttar Pradesh. The college started with a four year B.Tech programme in four branches, namely, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 240 . The Information Technology branch and two year MBA programme were added in 2006. Presently, the college has 420 intake in B.Tech programme and 60 in MBA programme. All the courses are duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Govt. of India and the State Govt. All the courses are affiliated to U.P. Technical University, Lucknow. The College imparts training to students to make them globally competent engineers and managers inculcated with human values and concern for the environment and the society. About 1300 students are studying in the college. The second batch of B.Tech passed out in 2010 and second batch of MBA is passing out this year(2011).We are striving to catapult each one and every one of us into knowledge capsule here, to enable them to join career of their choice.

Central library:  The libraries of all the colleges are housed at first and second floors of beautiful round shaped building. The air conditioning of libraries is in process. The libraries have all modern facilities including that of internet, photo copying and scanning. The automation of the Libraries is in process. All libraries have book bank facility to facilitate students to have sufficient numbers of quality text books as prescribed in the syllabi of U.P. Technical University. Besides, students have facility to borrow two books at a time. The libraries have open access system. Students are free to select books of their choice. It is planned to develop digital library to enhance e-learning and a self learning facility.
