BlackBerry launches BB10 with Z10 & Q10 - coming to India in February
Finally the wait for BB10 is over with BLACKBERRY rolling it out in the all new Z10 & Q10. The two handsets will go on sale in the UK on Thursday, and elsewhere in the world next month, the two handsets were unveiled in New York. "We have been on a journey of transformation,” said Thorsten Heins, CEO of the firm, who also announced that on Wednesday they are changing the name from RIM to BlackBerry.
The two versions of the phone the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10. The former is a touchscreen device, the latter has a full Qwerty keyboard "We know there are a lot of keyboard lovers out there," Heins said. "We heard you loud and clear."
With the all new operating system, BlackBerry's ready to compete against Android & Apple's iOS.
"We have transformed ourselves inside and out, and we have defined our vision ... which makes today the perfect time for another big announcement I want to share. From this point forward, RIM becomes BlackBerry." Heins said at the New York launch. "It is one brand; it is one promise."
RIM launched its first BlackBerry in 1999 thereby cornered the market of secure mails & capturing the business class but this era eventually ended with the launch of samsung smartphones & apple iPhones.
