    JEE ADVANCED 2018 has been declared and organized by IIT Kanpur. This is the first time that JEE Advanced 2018 will be held as computer based test (CBT). The entrance will be conducted on May 20, 2018. JEE ADVANCED 2018 is the gateway for admissions into IIT’s and it is initiated by one of the seven zonal coordinating IIT’s under the guidance of JAB every year. Candidate who has qualified in JEE Mains 2018 will be eligible to appear in IIT JEE Advanced 2018 for admissions to B.Tech across 23 IIT’s. The registration will tentatively begin from the first week of May till the second week of May 2018. The decisions of the JAB 2018 will be final in all matters related to JEE Advanced 2018 to IIT’s.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:


    • QUALIFYING EXAM: Student must have cleared the JEE Main and have passed their 12th exam in either 2017 or 2018.
    • AGE LIMIT: Candidate lying in General category must be born on or after October 1, 1993, while candidate with reserved quotas (SC, ST, others) will get 5 years relaxation.
    • ATTEMPTS: Candidate can sit in JEE Advanced maximum of 2 times in consecutive years.
    • PRIOR ADMISSIONS TO IITs/ISM will not be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2018.


    APPLICATION FORM:

    IIT Kanpur is most probably with a plan to release the application form of JEE Advanced 2018 I the first week of May through online mode. Candidate may just get 4- 5 days to complete the application process within the deadline. However, the concerned authority may give 1-2 days sphere to fill application form with late fees of Rs.500


    • Candidate can fill the application form in few easy and summarized steps.
    • Log in to the official website and fill the application form in a desired format with all required details. As the registration will be started from 4th week of April 2018.
    • No other mode will be entertained to get the JEE Advanced application form.
    • Upload the scanned images of certificates/other required documents.
    • Keep the print out of the JEE Advanced application form 2018 for future use.
    • Proceed the application process and make the fee payment via online mode.( debit cards, credit cards, net banking) or offline SBI challan mode.


    MARKING SCHEME:

    JEE Advanced 2018 has came up with several changes and marking scheme is expected to have full marking, partial marking, negative marking or zero marking.


    • SINGLE DIGIT INTEGER - 3 marks will be awarded in case of correct answer and no negative marking for such questions.
    • QUESTIONS WITH 1 OR MORE CORRECT OPTION’s - 4 mark swill be awarded if all correct options are answered, 1 for each correct option answered, 0 when no answer is given and -2 for wrong answer.
    • SINGLE CORRECT OPTION- 3 marks will be awarded for a correct answer, 0 for o answer and -1 for a wrong answer.

    JEE ADVANCED EXAM PATTERN 2018:

    JEE advanced exam is expected to reflect slight changes in the exam pattern 2018 as the exam has gone absolute online from 2018 itself. So it’s highly recommended for the candidate to go through the revised test pattern of the exam. Although the exam pattern is not fixed but varies with course and year. But it’s quite helpful and generous to go through the exam pattern to polish the preparation techniques accordingly.

    • Date of exam: The examination will be organized on 20th May 2018.
    • No. of papers: The exam will be consisting 2 papers (paper 1 & 2).both papers are compulsory.
    • Mode of exams: The exam will be held via online mode.
    • Exam duration: The duration of each paper will be 3 hrs.
    • Type of questions: The question will be objective type questions.
    • Subjects: Both the paper will consist of all 3 subject sections that include Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
