An online retailer, Infibeam, has listed the 16GB version of the iPhone 5 on it's website and the device is up for per-order. Though, the price of the phone hasn't been revealed yet, but Infibeam is accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 5 at a booking amount of Rs.5,000.
If you wish to book the iPhone 5, you can pay Rs.5000 to book your device and pay the remaining amount on the day the device is launched. Also, if at the of launch, you change your mind or are unable to pay the remaining balance, Infibeam would return your full amount. The buyers would have various options as far as the payments are concerned. They can pay via cash on delivery (CoD), or through debit card, credit card.
According to various unconfirmed reports, iPhone 5 is all set to hit the Indian stores early next month, on November 2. Unlike previous years, Apple won't be tying up with different Mobile operators, but would sell the iPhone 5 in the open-market. Earlier, strong rumors were the rounds that the iPhone 5 would be launched India on October 26, but according to sources, the release date got shifted to November 2 due to delayed shipments from Apple.

It is to be noted that recently, Apple had slashed the prices of it's previous models the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4S is currently priced Rs, 38,500 for the16GB model and Rs.49,000 for the 32 GB version.
Going by the current price of the iPhone 4S, it seems that Apple would surely price the iPhone 5 in excess of Rs.50,000 for the base model.
Speaking to a website, an Apple spokesperson said, "Apple has appointed Ingram Micro as a retailer for large format retailers and Redington, for distributing through regional channels, for our iPhone business."
The iPhone 5 is already one of the hottest selling devices in the Indian grey markets and is being sold at a premium as high as Rs. 70,000.
