Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET 2013) is a common written test for the admission processes of undergraduate institutes of Symbiosis International University established as under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956.

It is a mandatory written test for the admission process for the undergraduate programmes. However SET 2013 is not mandatory for the Symbiosis instititute of Technology (SIT), Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS), Symbiosis College of Nursing (SCON) and Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts (SSLA).

Eligibility Criteria: B. Sc. Nursing

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31 st Dec. of the year of admission.

The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of Higher Secondary school certificate Examination (12 years course), OR Senior School certificate Examination (10+2), OR pre-degree Examination (10+2), OR An equivalent with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or university with science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English with minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE).

Further 5% relaxation is permitted to SC/ST students.

Candidates shall be medically fit.

Method of Instruction

The interactive teaching learning method is adopted. Both lectures & demonstrations are used for basic training & group discussions & other innovative teaching methodology is also adopted.

There are many career opportunities for nurses and the number of nurses needed is only projected to increase as the population ages.
