    Chat MHT CET Eligibility criteria 2013

    Aspirants, who wish to apply for Maharashtra Technology Common Entrance Test MT CET (MHT CET) 2013 for B.Tech Admissions in various engineering Colleges in the State are hereby Informed that the Directorate of technical Education Maharashtra State has Decided to Conduct Medical Entrance Exam Separately. The State Government of Maharashtra has Decided to Join NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) Organized by Medical Council of India for Medical seat Admissions in India so the Name MHT CET is changed to MT CET. So From Next Academic year MHT CET will be Called as MT CET Entrance Test.

    Eligibility criteria:

    . MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria for OMS (Outside Maharashtra Candidate) and Maharashtra State candidates:
    1. Candidates should have passed HSC exam or its equivalent exam with subjects Physics, English, Mathematics and Chemistry.
    2. Candidates, who have given their HSC exam 2013 and still have not got result, are eligible as per MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria.
    3. Candidates of OMS category are eligible to take MHTCET 2013, but they will not be able to participate in Centralized Admission Process as per MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria. They will apply only in the Private Unaided Engineering Colleges on the basis of their MHTCET 2013 score against the institute level seats only.
    4. All the OMS candidates will be treated as Open/General category candidates throughout the admission process.

    2. MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra State and OSM candidates for admission to first year of Engineering/Technology degree courses:

    a) Candidate should have passed HSC exam with a minimum of 45% marks (open) and 40% marks (Physically Handicapped and Backward class Categories and belonging only to Maharashtra State only) in aggregate (adding Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry) according to

    MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria.


    b) Candidates should have obtained non zero marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry in MHTCET 2013.


    3. MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria for AIEEE 2013 Candidates (Maharashtra as well as OSM):


    a) Candidates should have passed HSC exam and secured a minimum of 45% marks in case of OPEN and 40% marks in case of reserved categories in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry added together.


    b) They should have a valid AIEEE 2013 score. Such candidates will need to submit a single application and choice filling form for CAP as per

    MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria. They will be given seat according to inter-se-merit.


    4. MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Student/Foreign National/Children of NRI/Children of Indian workers in Gulf Countries/PIO:


    a) Candidates should have passed HSC with 45% (Open) and 40% (Reserved) in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry together.


    b) Candidates’ eligibility shall be liable to the university they get admission in therefore they should confirm their eligibility as per MHTCET

    2013 Eligibility Criteria
    from these universities prior to applying for MHT CET 2013.


    c) Such candidates need not appear for MHTCET 2013 or AIEEE 2013.


    5. MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria for GOI nominees:


    a) Candidates should have passed HSC with 45% (Open) and 40% (Reserved) in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry together.


    b) Such candidates need not appear for MHTCET 2013 or AIEEE 2013.


    6. MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria for J&K Migrants:



    a) Candidates should have passed HSC with 45% (Open) and 40% (Reserved) in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry together.


    b) Candidates need not appear for MHTCET 2013 or AIEEE 2013.


    7. MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria for MKB candidates:


    a) Candidates should be from such villages/towns form Maharashtra Karnataka Disputed Border Area which is claimed by Maharashtra.


    b) They should have a Domicile certificate of such areas.


    c) Candidate must have passed HSC exam form an institute in such area and submit a proof of this.




    d) Candidates Mother Tongue should be Marathi. Candidate should submit a certificate from Principal/Head Master stating that his/her mother
    tongue is Marathi.


    e) Candidate should have passed HSC or SSC in Marathi subject also.


    8. MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria for the candidates who are wards of Defence Service Personnel:


    a) Candidates should satisfy the minimum pass marks criteria and should be a son/daughter of a domicile of Maharashtra ex-service/active
    personnel.


    b) Candidate is a ward of active service personnel who:


    1. I. Is not Domicile of Maharashtra but transferred here.
    2. II. Has family stationed in Maharashtra but he not domiciled here.
    3. III. According to MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria, wards of civilian staff don’t have this provision.

    9. MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria for physically handicapped candidates:


    a) Candidates who have physical disability from the ones listed in the brochure will seek admission under reserved seats for physically handicapped candidates.


    10. Female candidates are not eligible for Mining Engineering course.


    11. MHTCET 2013 Eligibility Criteria for candidates passing/passed diploma in Technology/Engineering and seeking admission to first year of Technology/Engineering in unaided colleges:


    • Candidate must have passed the diploma in English medium form an institute affiliated to MSBTE or ACITE approved Polytechnics in Maharashtra or outside Maharashtra state.
