    hi, i am satyam singh marwad student of Pune Institute of Computer Technology. If you guys have any query regarding admissions in engineering colleges in any subject like cutoff, placement and exams, you can freely ask.

    Admissions to PICT are strictly based on merit only. Undergraduate admissions are currently based on scores in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education. & AIEEE
    Educational Qualification
    The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed Post-SSC or Post-HSC Diploma Course in Engineering/Technology with at least 45.00 % marks (40.00 % marks in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from an AICTE approved Institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level.


    The Candidate must be an Indian National and should have passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC / Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45.00% marks (40.00 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Physically Handicapped belonging only to Maharashtra State) and passed XII standard examination with Mathematics as the subject and with English as the medium of instruction at B.Sc. level.
    Note:- The students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall only be considered after filling the seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma Stream and students belonging to B.Sc. stream are required to pass the subjects of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering program along with the second year subjects.
    In case percentage, marks in the Diploma/ B. Sc Examination comes in fraction then percentage of marks shall be rounded off as explained in the example for the purpose of deciding the eligibility of the candidate. Example: – If the percentage of marks comes out to be 39.50% to 39.99% then it shall be rounded to 40% and if the percentage of marks comes out to be 39.01% to 39.49% then it shall be rounded to 39%.

    About Us: PICT is situated in nation’s education hub, Pune and is recognised for its quality education. It was established by the Society for Computer Technology and Research in 1983 and was the first institute to introduce a Computer Engineering branch among private colleges in the Maharashtra state.

    An Engineering college established in 1983, Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT) has been one of the leading institutes in Information Technology education and research. PICT is focused on creating versatile engineers who can apply their knowledge and skills anywhere in the world. The college is well known as a respected institute for UG programmes in Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Electronics & Telecom Engineering. The college also runs P.G Programmes in Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Microwave Engineering. The Institute has introduced a scheme of innovative and comprehensive education at university and technical education level which aims at excellence but not at the cost of the relevance, which inculcates dignity of labor, encourages initiative and creative work, which is multidisciplinary, which prepares men for the increasingly techno-oriented society of tomorrow without uprooting them from their agricultural moorings, which will generate in the alumni the basic values of humanism, secularism and democracy by exposing them to the principles of all the major religions of the world and to their own cultural heritage, thus developing in them an integrated personality of well-adjusted men whose world has not been broken into fragments by narrow domestic walls Spread over 5 acres of beautiful landscape, PICT is home to 240 hostelers, 1400 day scholars and over 150 staff. A Canteen is functioning to cater the students, staff, parents and visitors. Rejuvenating facilities like basket ball court / Gym / TT are available. 24-hours Medical facility is available.

    Fee structure:
    The Shikshan Shulka Samiti has fixed following fees for SCTR’s Pune Institute of Computer Technology for the academic year 2012-2013, to be paid by the students admitted during academic year 2012-13.

    The Training and Placement cell is headed by Mr. G.S.Mundada (TPO) & Mr. R. B. Murumkar (Dy. TPO) who are keen in encouraging students to prefer jobs that better suit their profile. The placement season commences in the first month of every academic year and continues till the end of the academic year. Pre-Placement Talks are conducted for the final year students prior to the commencement of placement session every year.
    The T&P cell has adequate infrastructure to accommodate all the activities related to training and placement of PICT students. It also has wireless connectivity with company operation rooms, interview rooms and student coordination rooms. The T&P cell is assisted by a committee comprising of student representatives from U.G and P.G classes. To cater the needs of industry and students, separate divisions are created with a single point of contact for each division.

    Library of PICT is well known everywhere for its rich collection of printed and electronic materials (journals, books, video lectures, etc.). The Library is committed to respond to the needs of users by providing well-organized & up-to-date collection. It offers various services to the users. Library has a very Specious Reading Hall with very good infrastructure which is quite comfortable & conducive to reading & learning.
    All the books have been classified as per Dewey Decimal Classification & provided open access to the collection.
    The library has to be a main hub for learning. PICT Library provides services & facilities to the requirements of the Institute’s teaching & research programs. Accordingly, the various types of collection is available in the library.
    The library has following types of collection which enriched the library:

    There is Separate Boys & Girls Hostel in the Campus having total capacity of 200 student’s accommodation. Boy’s & Girl’s Hostel have total 35 and 63 rooms respectively and all rooms are attached with toilets & bathroom and in each room 2 students are allowed to stay.
    Hostel facility is only for First & Second year students. Hostel Admission is purely on first cum first basis and not on cast or merit basis. Once, admission taken in the hostel will not be cancelled and no refund will be given. It is the discretion of the management to give admission in the hostel.
    Each occupant will have the following items of furniture one cot, one table, and one chair. Occupants have to bring mattress, pillow, bed sheet etc. on their own. Size of the Cot is 3Ft X 6 Ft.
    Arrangements are made to get Bathroom / Toilet & common facilities cleaned at regular intervals. However, students are expected not to misuse facilities provided.
    A Solar heating system has been installed for hot water. However, in an emergency, hot water boilers are also installed for use. Clothes washing in the hostel are strictly prohibited. However, Dhobi service is made available for hostelites on pay basis.
    A Visiting Doctor’s services are available free of charge in the campus premises between 3 to 4 pm for Girls & between 4 to 5 pm for Boys students. Checkup & necessary treatment is done by separate doctors for boys & girls. Medical checkup is carried out for all the hostel students

    u hav mentioned that pict offers hostel facility to only to F.Y and S.E students then what abt T.Y and B.E students , can u pls suggest any hostels nearby pict collg and can u pls give the details of placement & cutoff of 2012-2013
