RVR and JC College of Engineering Campus and Intra Facilities :

    Infrastructural Abundance

It is part of the basic policy of the promoters that infrastructural self-sufficiency is a pre-requisite for better productivity and performance in all the activities, more so for academic activities. The Management has always been creating and updating academic and building infrastructure to meet the AICTE norms and standards from time to time and to make life easy and stress-free in the campus.

Today the campus resembles a park with well laid out black-topped internal roads with avenue trees on either-side. The one k.m. approach road too is a beauty to watch. Every bit of the vacant space is covered with lawns, flower plants and gardens. It is a most environment friendly campus, full of greenery, the hills on the western side adding to the contrast of the panorama.

    Library

The Central Library plays an Important role in the college, it is situated to the north side of the main building. It is a separate building consisting of 4 floors. It caters to the needs of the staff and students of the college. Ground floor consists of OPAC Services (Online Public Access Catalogue) in addition to card catalogue, circulation, periodical section, Back Volumes and Digital Library. Mezzanine floor consists of lending books and Xerox Section. I Floor consists of Reference Section, Technical and Acquisition Section. II floor consists of Book Bank Section.

    Computer Centre

LibraryThe computer has become an indispensable tool for imparting education in all the branches of engineering. The place of a computer in the modern education is not just limited to computer programming or browsing world wide web or typing up assignments. Whether it is the EEE students using SPICE tools for simulation of electronic circuits or the ECE students using MATLAB for simulation of the communication circuits and systems or CS/IT students using Eclipse IDE for application development or ME students using ANSYS for component development or ChE students ASPEN for simulation of chemical engineering processes, the computers have become integral part of the daily routine of a serious technical student. The RVR & JC College of Engineering clearly understands the importance and hence built up a significant number of well furnished computer labs.

Hostel Information for boys and girls:

Library The College provides separate hostel facility for boys and girls.

The girls hostel accommodates nearly 400 students and the boys hostel accommodates nearly 450 students. Preference is given for I B.Tech students in the hostel admissions. Strict discipline is followed in the hostels. The students are not allowed to use any electronic gadgets (i.e. cellphone, laptops, walkman etc.). The Hostels daily provides breakfast (with milk/coffee), lunch, Snacks (with milk/tea) and dinner.

There are separate Hostel committees for boys’ hostel and girls’ hostel headed by conveners, which monitors the running of the hostels.

Canteen has a big kitchen with steam cooking facility and kitchen staff take extra care to provide the students and staff with nutricious and hygenic food in the campus canteen. Food items are prepared with RO treated water.

Canteen is open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on all working days.

    Stationary Stores

All stationary items are made available in the stores at reasonable rates, fixed by the college management. It also provides light refreshment like packed snack items, cakes, veg. puff, beverages etc to the students and staff of the college.
